"On behalf of the four Breed Health Co-ordinators, I would like to thank all of you that took the time and responded to the Schnauzer Health Survey. The final numbers look very good in all three sizes when compared to previous studies. The response rate was very good for Giants (194 dogs/140 respondents), excellent for Schnauzers (118 dogs/72 respondents) and reasonably good from Miniatures (422 dogs/358 respondents). The data is being formatted and will then be analysed by the Health Co-ordinators Group, so all being well, the results should be available by late April/early May"

This is the first of what we hope will be an annual, breed health survey, to identify and track health issues in all three sizes.
The Joint Schnauzer Breeds Health Survey could become a valuable source of information for the future. When the returns are analysed, the results will be announced and published in the Jottings and available on the website.
