International Health Results
The Kennel Club is now able to record official international health scheme screening results in their database. These results will appear on Health Test Result Finder as “Test result with owner” and will be eligible for Find a Puppy Health Standard icon allocation and listing prioritisation.
Eligibility
Results must:
• Be issued by an official international screening scheme
• Relate to a condition listed on the Health Standard
• Use a screening method comparable to the UK equivalent scheme
• Include the dog’s Kennel Club registered name or number and microchip number
Each scheme and submission will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for suitability, and the outcome will be communicated to the owner requesting the upload.
Conditions and screening methods appropriate for submission in the Giant Schnauzer:
• Hip dysplasia screening via radiograph evaluation
• Elbow dysplasia screening via radiograph evaluation
• Inherited eye disease screening via an ophthalmic assessment
How to submit
To record an international result, please send a copy of the assessment form or certificate to health.results@thekennelclub.org.uk
Please note, results previously submitted for internal reference will not automatically be published. Owners wishing to have these results published must resubmit them for review.
Display of results
Results will appear as “Test result with owner” on the Health Test Result Finder. Individual test results or grades will not be published, however, results will be recorded for internal reference and ongoing review.
Additional information
This update applies only to official health screening schemes and does not include DNA testing. The requirements for DNA test publication remain unchanged.
