I would like to thank the Giant Club Committee for asking me to judge Miniature schnauzer’s and Best In Show at their February open show for all three sizes of the breed. Also a huge thank you to my stewards. Always a pleasure working with the McGrann’s and of course Jim Parker. You helped everything run so smoothly.

Puppy Dog, 1st Mrs E Descere’s Amorevita Dark Horse, a beautiful black 7 month old puppy. Correct head and ear set, bite and dark oval eye. Strong neck into a good lay of shoulder flowing into sloping top line that held on the move. Correct angulation and one of the best upper arm on the day. Enough forechest with continued depth and spring of rib. Correct tail set and carriage, Short loin. He was a little reluctant to move to start but once he decided to give it a go he effortlessly took advantage of the whole ring. Lovely movement front and back with reach and drive. Nothing over done. A well deserved BOB, BP, BIS, BPIS. He out surpassed anything in the best in show ring, one to watch.

2nd Mrs T Beckson’s Wianimu’s Marked For Greatness With Tammux (Imp UKR) B/S, a lovely head, with good ears, dark eye and correct head plains. I would prefer a little more length in upper arm, correct  spring of rib but would like a little more chest. Longer in leg than one, held top line on the move, while didn’t move as free as one he was still parallel front and back.

Post Graduate Dog 1st Mr & Mrs A & A McDermott’s Litchstone Midnight Zane lovely B/S jacket. lovely head, plains and a good bite. Dark eye. Good strong neck into good shoulders, I would like a bit more forechest but had depth and spring of rib. I would like a little more length of upper arm. Short in loin and good tail set. Short hock with tight feet. Moved parallel in rear.

2nd Mrs T Beckson’s Wianimu’s Tammux After Dusk, good head, ear set with dark eye. Longer neck than one, good lay of shoulder into a good top line. Would like more forechest and had a little less rib than one. Holds top line on the move. Good short loin and hock. Preferred ones rear angulation but he moved happy

Open dog; 1st Miss K Fish’s Amorevita Blurred Lines For Riesenheim Lovely head plains correct ears, moderate stop and good bite. Good length of head. Strong neck into good shoulders with forechest, depth and spring of rib. Correct top line. Slightly lower set tail but carried high and happy. Strong hock. Moved parallel front and back. Had drive and reach. Nice black coat. Gave his handler a Challange. RBD

2nd Woods & Woods Miss & Miss R & L’s Ch Penbro Carbon Copy, lovely head and expression, longer neck than 1, correct shoulder into top line. Depth of chest and spring of rib. I would Prefer a little more upper arm and slightly rose in the rear on the move today. Short in loin,  little longer in leg than one.

Puppy Bitch 1st Miss K Fish’s Riesenheim Rerite The Stars, lovely head, slightly larger ears but with correct ear set. Correct bite. Flowing neck into top line, she has good front with the depth and spring of rib. I would like a little more upper arm. Nice short hock and angulation. Moved out well with confidence. Has drive and reach, harsh black coat. RBB

2nd Mrs E Descere’s Amorevita wheel Of Fortune. Good head, nice eye and bite. Has a better front than one but currently had a soft top line that slightly rises. Good movement with drive and reach. Good black coat.

Junior Bitch Class 1st Miss R Cooper’s Copellastar Go With The Flow JW, lovely head ears, dark eye and bite. Strong neck into good lay of shoulders, forechest with depth and spring of rib and slightly sloping top line. Very short in loin and short in hock. Tidy feet. Good tail set and carriage. Had the best front movement in the class. Good harsh  Pepper and salt coat. BB

2nd Mr & Mrs A & A McDermott’s Lichstone Wind of Dreams’s correct head with good ear set, lovely dark eye and correct bite. Lovely depth of chest 1st had better forechest. Spring of rib. Held top line on the move. Good short hock. Preferred 1st tail set. Good rear movement. Correct pepper and salt jacket.

Post Graduate Bitch. 1st Mr & Mrs A & A McDermott’s, Litchstone Midnight Zora, good head plains, good expression, ear set and enough stop. Good strong neck into lovely lay of shoulder. I would like a little more chest and upper arm. Short in loin with tidy feet and short hock. Good tail at and carriage. Had the best front and back movement in the class. Lovely black and silver coat.

2nd Mrs T Beckson’s Wlanimu’s Jointly To Your Sucess with Tammux (imp UKR), lovely head and bite preferred one’s ears. Has chest and spring of rib. Good hind angulation and hock. Moved well in the rear, but a little loose in the front.

Open Bitch 1st Miss R Copper’s Ch Violis Poetic Haiku for Copellastar JW. Lovely head with good ear set and dark eye. Moderate stop. Strong neck into shoulders, I would like a little more upper arm. Short loin with good tail and set. Moved well in the front but a little close behind.

2nd Mr, Mrs & Miss Copper’s Mary Wells around Copellastar, good head and expression, correct ears and stop. Longer neck than one would like more upper arm. A little longer in back than one but shorter in hock. Good tail set and carriage. Moved well with feet forward a little close behind.

Reserve Best In show Mr & Miss P Boulton & P Van Oosten’s Ch Int Euro NI SI Cr Swe CH Ispu Klunseiger Boujan Fizzy Stuff. A much larger schnauzer than I would prefer but has type. Good head, plains and stop. Won his place on forechest, depth and spring of rib. Would like better upper arm. Square in outline but slightly over angulated in rear. Moved close behind. Good pepper and salt coat. RBIS BVIS

Mr & Mrs G Staples & S Killingback’s Figosky Wake Me Up At Navavitez, a lovely Black and Silver puppy. Like all giants needs time to mature. Good length of head and plains, dark eye. strong neck into good lay of shoulders and a flowing sloping top line. Square with good angulation.  RBPIS
